CAREER PROFILE:
Owen’s professional history in the sporting goods trade began in 1959. When OJBA began in August 1971, Owen brought a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the industry to the company. Since then, Owen has drawn from his previous position as a wholesale buyer for seven years representing a major Southern California distributor and has been the key contributor to OJBA’s success in its almost 50 years as a company. As past owner and CEO Emeritus of the firm, Owen was directly involved with management of the company in regard to administration, field support, and as the factory liaison.
